In a Monday morning article, Headline Planet noted that Julia Michaels’ debut radio single “Issues” is receiving early airplay from some major market pop radio stations<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That is not the song’s only early exposure.<\/p>\n

Late Sunday night, Selena Gomez posted an Instagram video in which she, Michaels and Michaels’ frequent collaborator (and “Issues” co-writer) Justin Tranter are playfully dancing and singing along to the new single.<\/p>\n

“When the people who changed your life create magic @imjmichaels @tranterjustin I’m so happy for you guys -one of my favorite songs they have ever written,” wrote Gomez in the caption.<\/p>\n

Gomez is referencing the fact that Michaels and Tranter co-wrote some of her biggest hits, including “Good For You” and “Hands To Myself.”<\/p>\n

The video has already amassed nearly 5 million views; the valuable exposure helped thrust “Issues” into the Top 50 on the US iTunes sales chart.<\/p>\n

The song, which was outside the Top 100 prior to the release of the video, is now #44 on the all-genre listing. It holds the fourth-best position among this week’s new releases; as of press time at 12:35PM ET, only The Chainsmokers’ “Paris” (#2), Halsey’s “Not Afraid Anymore” (#21), and Lupe Fiaco’s “Jump” (#41) hold higher spots.<\/p>\n

“Issues” officially goes for pop radio adds in conjunction with the February 7 add board. It impacts hot adult contemporary on February 13.<\/p>\n
