According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, the episode drew a 0.34 adults 18-49 rating and 0.84 million total viewers on Spike (it added a 0.06 rating and 0.20 million viewers for a CMT simulcast).<\/p>\n
The numbers markedly top the 0.22 rating and 0.46 million mark drawn by the previous episode, which featured TJ Miller vs. Sam Richardson.<\/p>\n
Granted, this week’s broadcast had help. In addition to airing against much lighter competition and carrying a “holiday” billing, it benefited from a considerably stronger lead-in.<\/p>\n
Leading into the new “Lip Sync Battle,” this week’s edition of the “Lip Sync Battle: TMI” encore series drew a 0.35 adults 18-49 rating and 0.86 million viewers — meaning it actually outdrew the new episode.<\/p>\n
The “TMI” that led into the previous episode managed a mere 0.12 adults 18-49 rating and 0.31 million total viewers.<\/p>\n
Still, the Cassadee Pope vs. Dustin Lynch episode ranks as Spike’s most-watched original “Lip Sync Battle” since the October 12 season premiere (if you include the CMT simulcast, it was the most-watched since the season two finale on June 23).
