The trending category identifies the top ten videos based on “views, shares, comments, likes and more.” The music video category is more straightforward; it simply identifies the year’s most-watched music videos.<\/p>\n
The Adele edition of James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” tops the trending list, while Fifth Harmony’s “Work From Home (featuring Ty Dolla $ign)” ranks as the year’s top music video.<\/p>\n
Worth noting: the ten videos on YouTube’s trending list have a combined 550 million views. “Work From Home” alone is credited with 1.18 billion.<\/p>\n
