Will “STAR” become a big hit for FOX?<\/p>\n

It is far too early to say. We do, however, know it will receive a great opportunity to connect with viewers.<\/p>\n

The first episode — billed as a special preview — will air after the “Empire” fall finale on December 14. Positioning after a key episode of FOX’s biggest show (and one that is also a musical drama from Lee Daniels) is the epitome of “prime.”<\/p>\n

“Featuring a soundtrack of original music and stunning music performances, STAR follows three talented singers, desperate for a new start and with ambitions of stardom, as they navigate the cut-throat music business on their road to success,” says FOX of the new series.<\/p>\n

“STAR” stars Queen Latifah, Benjamin Bratt, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, and Amiyah Scott. Recognizable names like Lenny Kravitz, Naomi Campbell, and Tyrese Gibson will make guest appearances.<\/p>\n
