The smash earns a twelfth week atop the all-encompassing Billboard Songs chart. It is the longest-reigning #1 since Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again (featuring Charlie Puth),” which also ruled for twelve weeks.<\/p>\n
The difference? Unlike the twelve-week total reign achieved by “See You Again,” The Chainsmokers’ tune has spent twelve consecutive<\/i> weeks in the top spot.<\/p>\n
“Closer” is only the seventeenth single to spend twelve or more weeks in the #1 position.<\/p>\n
While it is beginning to decline in key metrics, “Closer” remains a strong performer for sales, streams, and radio airplay.<\/p>\n
