In doing so, “Closer” outright ranks as 2016’s longest-reigning #1. It was previously in a tie with Drake’s “One Dance (featuring WizKid & Kyla),” which spent ten non-consecutive weeks at #1.<\/p>\n
In securing an eleventh week on top, “Closer” is officially the longest-reigning Hot 100 leader since Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again (featuring Charlie Puth)” (12 weeks).<\/p>\n
Its streak of eleven weeks, meanwhile, is the longest since the fourteen-week run achieved by Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk (featuring Bruno Mars).”<\/p>\n
