The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey)” is poised to rule the Mediabase pop chart for a sixth week and the Billboard Hot 100 for an eleventh week.<\/p>\n

Not everyone is a fan of the duo that has had a banner 2016, however.<\/p>\n
One artist firmly on the non-fan list? Grammy-winning producer Mark Ronson, who co-produced and co-wrote Lady Gaga’s “Perfect Illusion.”<\/p>\n
Continuing beef that began when The Chainsmokers criticized the Gaga tune, Ronson delivered a vitriolic Tweet Saturday morning.<\/p>\n
Quoting The Chainsmokers’ “and we’re back” post (which, given the timing and inclusion of a middle finger emoji, many took as a reference to “Closer” reclaiming #1 on the US iTunes sales chart), Ronson wrote, “Back to being the charisma-bypassed champions of 2 bar Ableton loops? Well, smash it while it lasts, fellas!!”<\/p>\n
Implying that their fifteen minutes — and opportunity to generate wealth — will soon be concluding, Ronson also included a link to an article entitled “7 Safest, Low-Risk Investments for Your Money.”<\/p>\n
Denying that their initial Tweet was about overtaking Gaga’s “Million Reasons” on the iTunes chart and opting not to escalate the aggression, the duo responded, “was actually talking about being back in America after Europe but okay.”<\/p>\n
The Ronson-Chainsmokers beef is interesting beyond the scope of the former’s involvement in the new Lady Gaga album.
