Nathan Sykes’ “Famous,” an edited version of Hey Violet’s “Guys My Age,” and Betty Who’s “I Love You Always Forever” are among the songs featured on this week’s “A” HitDisc.<\/p>\n
Compiled by TM Studios, the weekly HitDisc collaborations typically feature songs that are first being serviced (or being re-serviced) to radio, singles that are officially going for radio adds, tracks that are crossing over to new formats or edits\/remixes of previously released tracks.<\/p>\n
The “A” disc contains songs geared to the US adult contemporary, hot adult contemporary, pop, rhythmic, and\/or urban formats.<\/p>\n
In addition to the aforementioned songs, this week’s disc features Aurora’s “Conqueror,” a new radio mix of Bastille’s “Good Grief,” For King & Country’s “Priceless,” Jon Bellion’s “All Time Low,”** a clean version of Fat Joe, Remy Ma & French Montana’s “Cookin (featuring RySoValid),” Kranium’s “We Can (featuring Tory Lanez), Ro James’ “Already Knew That,” a clean version of Young Thug’s “Digits,” a clean version of Dae Dae’s “Spend It,” Leikeli47’s “Money” and a clean version of The Weeknd’s “Starboy (featuring Daft Punk).”<\/p>\n
The tracklist brings some interesting developments:<\/p>\n
— As the song was gaining alternative radio traction this past spring, rumors suggested Glassnote Records would push Aurora’s “Conqueror” to hot adult contemporary radio. The push never happened, and the label later committed to “I Went Too Far” as the Norwegian artist’s official single at US Hot AC radio. The track never made much noise, and it appears Glassnote may be revisiting “Conqueror” as an adult mainstream radio option.<\/p>\n
— Def Jam still lists “Give It Up (featuring G-Eazy)” as Nathan Sykes’ official single. With airplay stalling, however, it appears promotional focus might soon shift to “Famous.”<\/p>\n
