On the heels of a solid time period premiere, “Superstore” has earned a full second season.<\/p>\n
NBC has ordered an additional nine episodes, resulting in a full second season total of twenty two.<\/p>\n
The expanded order is not remotely surprising.<\/p>\n
Leading out of NBC’s August 19 Olympics coverage, a special preview episode drew solid ratings this summer. “Superstore” then fared well in its time period premiere Thursday, drawing a 1.5 adults live+same-day rating in the adults 18-49 demographic. It marked a 50% improvement over NBC’s 2015-16 average in the 8PM timeslot and provided solid lead-in support for new comedy “The Good Place.”<\/p>\n
