Per studio estimates, “Suicide Squad” earned $43.8 million in its second weekend of release. Down sharply from the $133.7 million grossed last weekend, the gross still gives “Suicide Squad” a comfortable margin of victory. It also brings the film’s cume to $222.9 million.<\/p>\n
“Sausage Party” debuts at #2 on the weekend US box office chart. The R-rated animated film earned a solid $33.6 million.<\/p>\n
Fellow new release “Pete’s Dragon” takes #3 with $21.5 million. “Jason Bourne” drops two places to #4 with $13.6 million ($126.8 million cume), while “Bad Moms” falls two places to #5 with $11.5 million ($71.5 million).<\/p>\n
