While Def Jam has not yet confirmed the rhythmic radio follow-up to Rihanna’s “Needed Me,” which reached #1 on this past week’s Mediabase airplay chart, there is reason to believe it may be “Sex With Me.”<\/p>\n
“Sex With Me” was recently added to Def Jam’s weekly radio recap, which analyzes the Mediabase positions of the label’s official singles.<\/p>\n
The “ANTI” track was actually down in weekly airplay – falling from #63 to #67 on the Mediabase rhythmic chart and from 157 spins to 139 weekly spins – but its inclusion in the weekly recap is still telling.<\/p>\n
“Sex With Me” would not necessarily be a surprising choice. One of the top performers from the album, it has been on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 for thirteen weeks. It appeared at #9 on last week’s edition of the chart.<\/p>\n
Def Jam’s recap focuses only on the song’s rhythmic position, but “Sex With Me” would also presumably serve as a new single at urban radio, where “Needed Me” has ruled for three straight weeks.<\/p>\n
