Recent reports confirmed that comedy pilot “Mad Love” (aka “True Love”) was heating up ahead of CBS’ scheduling decisions, but a new report on Deadline.com says that the show’s pickup could be in jeopardy.<\/p>\n
CBS was particularly interested in Lizzy Caplan’s (“Party Down”) performance on the show, but as of press time, she was reportedly unwilling to commit to series (she guests in the pilot). The pickup could very likely hinge on Caplan’s participation, and if she cannot be secured for a full order, Carter Bays’ and Craig Thomas’ longshot “Livin’ on a Prayer” could instead get CBS’ attention for midseason.<\/p>\n
(Updated:<\/b> “Livin’ on a Prayer” is now being described as an extreme long shot, although it is not clear that CBS is passing on the show specifically because it will be picking up “Mad Love”)<\/p>\n
“Bleep My Dad Says” (for which Ryan Devlin is being recast) has not formally been picked up, although most believe an order is inevitable. So far, CBS’ only comedy pickup has been Chuck Lorre’s “Mike and Molly.”<\/p>\n
