FOX went through with its rumored change<\/a>, announcing Monday morning that “Glee” will move to the 8PM time period next season.<\/p>\n

The breakout musical comedy will air as an 8PM Tuesday lead-in to new comedies “Raising Hope” and “Running Wilde.” After establishing itself as a 9PM hit on both Tuesdays and Wednesdays this year, FOX now hopes it can become an “American Idol”-like tentpole at 8PM and boost viewership for its new offerings.<\/p>\n

According to FOX, “Glee” will also receive the coveted post-Super Bowl slot following the 2011 Super Bowl on February 6.
