OneRepublic’s new “Wherever I Go” received 945 spins during the first five days of the May 22-28 tracking week. Up 110.0% from the count at the same time last week, the tally slots “Wherever I Go” at #36 on Mediabase’s building chart.<\/p>\n
DNCE’s “Toothbrush” directly follows at #37 on building. It received 918 spins during the first five days of the week (+203.0%).<\/p>\n
The two may change positions before the week concludes — “Toothbrush” seems to have more momentum — but neither will have any trouble remaining inside the Top 40.<\/p>\n
KIIARA’s “Gold” also appears safe in its bid for a Top 40 position. Spun 684 times during the week’s first five days (+35.2%), it is currently #39 on the building chart. With only two days remaining, it will doubtfully lose its Top 40 placement.<\/p>\n
With Selena Gomez’ building #22 “Hands To Myself” due to be removed as a recurrent this week, all songs below its position on the building chart will be bumped up by one spot on the final chart. That — as well as the decline of Belly’s building #40 “Might Not (featuring The Weeknd)” (669 spins, -9.2%) — may allow Tryon’s “Somebody To Love Me” to enter the Top 40.<\/p>\n
“Somebody” is currently #41 on building with 646 spins (+8.2%), and it should be able to surpass “Might Not” before week’s end.
