The season finale of NBC’s “The Voice” comfortably outperformed the season’s last “Dancing With The Stars” episode in adults 18-49. Based on preliminary data, it also has a slight — and unexpected — lead in total viewership.<\/p>\n
Both finales, however, were down from the series’ fall 2016 and spring 2015 conclusions, particularly when it comes to the adults 18-49 demographic.<\/p>\n
According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Tuesday’s “The Voice” drew a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating and 10.38 million total viewers from 9-10PM. It followed with a 2.1 and 10.41 million in the 10-11PM hour.<\/p>\n
Airing across the same two hours, the “DWTS” finale drew a 1.5 adults 18-49 and 10.16 million viewers from 9-10 and a 1.6 and 10.44 million from 10-11.<\/p>\n
In both cases, the numbers markedly trailed those of the previous season finales.<\/p>\n
The December 2015 “The Voice” finale drew a 2.9 and 12.60 million total viewers, while the November 2015 “DWTS” conclusion scored a 2.4 and 13.49 million.<\/p>\n
Their previous spring seasons both concluded on May 19, 2015; “The Voice” drew a 2.9 and 11.56 million while “DWTS” posted a 2.3 and 13.49 million.<\/p>\n
Alisan Porter was named the winner of the latest “The Voice” season.
