In addition to ordering a fourth “Chicago” series (“Chicago Justice”) for 2016-17, NBC is expanding its “The Blacklist” franchise.<\/p>\n
The network has officially ordered “The Blacklist: Redemption” to series. Ryan Eggold and Famke Janssen topline the series, which also stars Edi Gathegi and Tawny Cypress.<\/p>\n

In this thrilling new spinoff of NBC\u2019s breakout hit series, undercover operative Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold) joins forces with Susan \u2018Scottie\u2019 Hargrave (Famke Janssen), the brilliant and cunning chief of Grey Matters, a covert mercenary organization that solves problems governments don\u2019t dare touch. While on the hunt for Liz\u2019s attacker, Tom secretly discovered that Scottie is actually his biological mother. Now, as they team up to employ their unique skills and resources in a dangerous world of deadly criminals, Tom begins his own covert mission to find out more about his shadowy past.<\/em><\/p>\nWhile no longer the live+same-day ratings phenom it was in its first season, “The Blacklist” continues to perform respectably on Thursdays. It also receives huge percentage lifts on DVR.<\/p>\n
