Update 2:<\/b> While Columbia has indicated that it is eyeing a pop radio push for Beyonce’s “Sorry,” the song is no longer expected to “impact” that format this week<\/em>.<\/p>\n

It will, however, go for immediate adds at the rhythmic format, where it has a solid chance of ranking as the week’s most added song.<\/p>\n

Update:<\/b> In addition to impacting rhythmic radio, Beyonce’s “Sorry” is going for pop adds starting this week.<\/p>\n

It is also expected to serve as an official single at urban radio, where it is already #28 on Mediabase’s building airplay chart.

Several of the newly released (non-“Formation”) tracks from Beyonce’s “Lemonade” received substantial rhythmic airplay last week.<\/p>\n

Of those new tracks, none proved more immediately resonant than “Sorry.” Spun 394 times during the April 24-30 tracking week, “Sorry” ranked as the Mediabase rhythmic panel’s #42 song.<\/p>\n

(It fared even better at urban radio, earning #39 on the strength of 627 spins).<\/p>\n

Given early interest from radio programmers — and its success on the sales and streaming fronts — Columbia has unsurprisingly named “Sorry” an official rhythmic radio single. The label’s promotional team confirms that it is going for rhythmic adds this week.<\/p>\n

“Sorry” is one of two Columbia-promoted releases impacting rhythmic radio in conjunction with the May 3 add board.
