Per AMC, Sunday&#8217;s &#8220;Fear The Walking Dead&#8221; drew 8.8 million total viewers &#8212; 5.3 million of whom were adults 18-49 &#8212; on a live+3 basis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat Dave Erickson and Robert Kirkman have invented in \u2018Fear The Walking Dead\u2019 is to be applauded. Watching Los Angeles crumble through the eyes of our characters and seeing each make decisions and try to figure out the rules of their new world \u2013 it\u2019s fresh, eerie and compelling and we\u2019re all in for the ride,\u201d said Charlie Collier, president of AMC, SundanceTV and AMC Studios. \u201cAs Victor Strand observed, \u2018The only way to survive a mad world is to embrace the madness.\u2019 We thank the millions of fans for embracing this mad world and look forward to sailing far into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As noted, &#8220;FTWD&#8221; is only one episode into its sophomore season.
