Revived by an unforgettable performance on last Thursday’s “American Idol,” Kelly Clarkson’s “Piece By Piece” is poised to return to the Top 40 — and comfortably so — on this week’s Mediabase hot adult contemporary airplay chart.<\/p>\n
“Piece By Piece,” which is also available to radio programmers in the form of an “Idol version,” received 332 spins during the first five days of the February 28-March 5 tracking week.<\/p>\n
The count positions Clarkson’s tune at #35 on Mediabase’s building Hot AC airplay chart.<\/p>\n
Given the rapid rate at which it is gaining spins, “Piece By Piece” may rise from that position over the tracking week’s final two days. It will also receive a one-spot bump since Elle King’s “Ex’s And Oh’s,” which is currently #11 on the building chart, is due to be removed as a recurrent.<\/p>\n
