FX’s critically acclaimed “Baskets” has officially earned a second season.<\/p>\n
The cable network formalized the renewal Tuesday morning, noting that the second string of episodes will premiere in early 2017.<\/p>\n
\u201cBaskets is bold, brilliant and incredibly funny and we could not be happier with the reception it\u2019s received in its breakout first season,\u201d said FX’s Eric Schrier. \u201cBaskets brings together three of the most innovative comedic minds working today – Zach [Galifianakis], Louis [CK] and Jonathan [Krisel] – and we thank them, the rest of the creative team and the entire cast for everything they\u2019ve done for the series.\u201d<\/p>\n
On a Live+7 basis, the first three “Baskets” episodes averaged 1.5 million total viewers, with 944,000 falling in the adults 18-49 demographic.<\/p>\n
