When the February 14-20 pop radio tracking week began, twenty one pilots’ “Stressed Out” seemed poised to seize #1 from Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself.” It was only a handful of spins behind Bieber’s tune, and it seemed to have more upward momentum.<\/p>\n
As the week progressed, however, it became clear that the anticipated outcome was far from a certainty. “Love Yourself” was holding up better than expected, and it maintained an advantage over a twenty one pilots song that was not gaining as quickly as expected.<\/p>\n
That advantage remained at the close of the tracking week. “Love Yourself,” therefore, earns a fourth straight week atop Mediabase’s pop airplay chart. It now ranks as the artist’s longest-reigning pop radio #1.<\/p>\n
The third “Purpose” radio single received ~18,830 spins during the February 14-20 tracking week (+24). The aforementioned “Stressed Out,” which holds at #2, received ~18,713 (+518).<\/p>\n
It is certainly possible that “Stressed Out” can reach #1 next week. For now, however, “Love Yourself” remains atop the pop radio mountain.<\/p>\n
Up one place, The Chainsmokers’ “Roses (featuring ROZES)” takes #3 on the chart. It earned ~14,246 tracking week spins (+590). Spun ~13,578 times this week (-590), The Weeknd’s “In The Night” drops one spot to #4.<\/p>\n
