Tuesday’s “New Girl” — the second of the Zooey Deschanel-free episodes — is notable for another reason.<\/p>\n

It was directed by Jake Johnson, who stars as Nick on the series.<\/p>\n

Entitled “Bob & Carol & Nick & Schmidt,” the episode finds Nick welcoming his cousin (Bill Burr) and his wife (Lennon Parham) to Los Angeles. Nick fears they are going to ask for money, but it turns out they have a different — and more intimate — request in mind. With help from Schmidt, Nick navigates the request — and ponders his future.<\/p>\n

Winston, meanwhile, helps Cece shop for a wedding dress.<\/p>\n
