It may not have been a ratings blockbuster, but NBC’s “Shades of Blue” certainly got off to a solid start Thursday night.<\/p>\n
It was easily the 10PM timeslot’s top broadcast series in adults 18-49 and total viewership.<\/p>\n
Per Nielsen fast national data, the new drama premiered with a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating and a viewership mark of 8.570 million.<\/p>\n
CBS’ “Elementary,” its closest competitor in each column, posted a 1.2 with 6.706 million viewers.<\/p>\n
“Shades Of Blue” will need to demonstrate reasonable retention in the coming weeks — its performance was not strong enough to permit a crash — but it definitely premiered well by 10PM broadcast standards (and, really, 2016 scripted series standards).<\/p>\n
