According to Hits Daily Double, “25” sold approximately 786,901 US copies during the December 11-17 tracking week. Billboard’s more authoritative data will differ slightly, but it will not remotely affect the outcome: “25” will retain its #1 spot on the Top Album Sales chart.<\/p>\n
Going into the tracking week, “25” boasted a cumulative US sales total of 5.186 million. The latest weekly tally brings it within striking distance of 6 million.<\/p>\n
In terms of the weekly sales race, no album rivaled the “25” performance. The closest competition came from Pentatonix’s “That’s Christmas To Me,” which Hits estimates sold 122,466 weekly copies.<\/p>\n
Other notable pure sales performers: Justin Bieber’s “Purpose” (~102,084), Chris Stapleton’s “Traveller” (~52,309), and Coldplay’s “A Head Full Of Dreams” (~48,758).<\/p>\n
