While Coldplay’s new album “A Head Full Of Dreams” is commanding the marketplace’s attention, singles from its 2014 predecessor recently received new certifications from the RIAA.<\/p>\n

“A Sky Full Of Stars” officially attained 2x platinum status on December 14, 2015. Three days earlier, “Magic” went platinum.<\/p>\n

The digital single certifications respectively confirm US unit totals of 2 million and 1 million. One unit is equal to 1 paid download or 100 streams.<\/p>\n

As it had only been certified gold prior to Monday, “A Sky Full Of Stars” retroactively received a platinum certification. “Magic” had not been certified at all — and thus retroactively received a gold distinction.<\/p>\n
