Monday’s “Supergirl” was the fifth overall installment and fourth to air in the regular 8PM timeslot. Following its premiere, “Supergirl” has endured four straight declines in total viewership. Last week’s episode enjoyed a week-to-week gain in adults 18-49, but it turned away that gain — and then some — this week.<\/p>\n
This week’s episode notably faced competition from night one of ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” finale. While not a blockbuster performer (2.1, 13.287 million from 8-10PM ET), it may have slightly impacted this week’s “Supergirl” performance.<\/p>\n
CBS’ Monday lineup also included “Scorpion” (1.7, 8.949m) and “NCIS: Los Angeles” (1.2, 7.801m).

Last week’s adults 18-49 uptick was not the beginning of a streak for CBS’ “Supergirl.” Monday’s episode suffered a decline in the coveted young adults demographic. It also continued its streak of losses in total viewership.<\/p>\n
Per Nielsen fast national data, the episode drew a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating and 7.191 million total viewers. Down from the 1.8 and 7.769 marks posted by last week’s episode, the two numbers represent lows for the CBS series.<\/p>\n
This week’s episode was the series’ fifth installment — and fourth to air in the regular 8PM timeslot.<\/p>\n
“Supergirl” did, notably, face competition from night one of the “Dancing With The Stars” finale. An increase next week would go a long way in proving this week’s decline was specifically driven by that competitive broadcast.<\/p>\n
Working against that case is the fact that “Scorpion” did not suffer an adults 18-49 decline this week. It drew a 1.7 with 8.869 million total viewers; last week’s episode posted a 1.7 with 9.163 million.<\/p>\n
