According to final live+same-day data, it drew a 5.1 adults 18-49 rating with 13.101 million viewers. Last week’s episode posted a 5.5 with 13.742 million.<\/p>\n

It also once again dominated its Wednesday night competition.<\/p>\n
Per Nielsen fast national data, Wednesday’s episode, which was the third of the second season, drew a 5.0 adults 18-49 rating with 12.988 million viewers. Both numbers were by far the best posted by a Wednesday program.<\/p>\n
They nonetheless trail the 5.5 rating and 13.742 million viewership mark posted by last week’s episode.<\/p>\n

In nearly matching last week’s overnight household rating, FOX’s “Empire” again reigned as the clear winner in the Wednesday ratings race.<\/p>\n
Per Nielsen metered market data, Wednesday’s episode drew a 8.7 overnight household rating. Down only slightly from the previous week’s 9.0, the rating was by far the best overnight household number posted by a Wednesday night series.<\/p>\n
Its closest competition came from ABC’s “Modern Family,” which drew a considerably lesser 5.5 overnight household rating.<\/p>\n
“Empire” will also rank as a dominant #1 in adults 18-49 and total viewership. Preliminary forms of those numbers will be issued by 11:15AM ET.<\/p>\n
While it seems clear “Empire” is done growing<\/i>, at least as far as live+same-day ratings go, it is definitely not done dominating.<\/p>\n
