FOX’s Tuesday night lineup also included the premieres of “Grandfathered” (1.5, 5.34 million) and “The Grinder” (1.5, 4.98 million). Both performances were disappointing.

FOX led into “Scream Queens” with the premieres of “Grandfathered” and “The Grinder.” The older-skewing shows markedly outdrew last week’s “Scream Queens” premiere in total viewers (5.28 million and 4.93 million, respectively) but underwhelmed in the key adults 18-49 demographic. Both shows opened with a 1.5 rating.

Last week’s two-hour episode averaged a 2.9 from 8-10PM; the 9-10PM portion specifically delivered a 2.6.<\/p>\n
In addition to last week’s 2.9 overnight household rating, the episode drew a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating with 4.04 million viewers from 8-10PM (and a 1.6 with 3.76 million from 9-10PM). The performance would not be considered poor in many cases, but it was disappointing given this particular show’s abundance of hype (and thus heightened expectations).<\/p>\n
