TV Land’s “The Jim Gaffigan Show” and “Impastor,” which concurrently air on sister network Nick at Nite, have been officially renewed for second seasons.<\/p>\n
News of the renewals came Monday.<\/p>\n
Neither show is a live+same-day blockbuster, but both shows perform respectably by the standards of the network (and cable).<\/p>\n
Their viewership totals also receive significant boosts from time-shifting. While the shows have generally been posting live+same-day viewership tallies in the 900,000-1.5 million range, “Gaffigan” and “Impastor” reach 4 million and 2.8 million, respectively, with DVR viewing included.<\/p>\n
Creatively, the shows align with the network’s initiative to program edgier, younger-skewing, single camera fare.<\/p>\n
“We\u2019re really proud of these shows that represent the new TV Land,\u201d says TV Land’s Keith Cox. “They have quality writing and great casts, and we\u2019re excited to move on to season two for both.”<\/p>\n
