The Weeknd’s “Beauty Behind the Madness” and Halsey’s “Badlands,” which formally launched late Thursday night, predictably claim the top spots on the US iTunes Album Sales chart.<\/p>\n
And while performance on iTunes does not always reflect how an album will perform on the overall sales chart, it is respected to represent a proper barometer this week. “Beauty” is expected to easily lead the Billboard Top Album Sales (and Billboard 200) chart, while “Badlands” is projected to launch at #2.<\/p>\n
The next two spots on the iTunes sales chart are presently occupied by albums in the pre-order phase. The pre-order for 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Sounds Good Feels Good,” which has been a staple of the chart’s upper region since launching, is currently #3 on the listing. Demi Lovato’s “Confident,” which just last night became available for pre-order purchase, is #4.<\/p>\n
