“Cool for the Summer” is on track to thrust Demi Lovato back into pop radio’s Top 5.<\/p>\n

According to Mediabase, “Cool for the Summer” received 3,520 plays during the first two days of the August 23-29 tracking week. Up 14.5% from last week’s mark, the tally earns “Cool” the #5 spot on Mediabase’s building pop radio airplay chart.<\/p>\n

If it can retain that spot for the duration of the tracking period — and all indications are that it will — it will become the fourth Top 5 pop hit of Lovato’s career.<\/p>\n

She previously reached the region with “Give Your Heart a Break” (#1 peak), “Heart Attack” (#5 peak), and “Neon Lights” (#5 peak).<\/p>\n
