According to Nielsen Music, the critically acclaimed “The Blade” drove 12,000 pure album sales during the July 24-30 tracking week. That allows for a #2 position on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.<\/p>\n
Monroe’s previous release “Like a Rose” debuted — and peaked — at #10 on the chart. Her debut “Satisfied” did not receive a traditional release campaign and consequently did not chart.<\/p>\n
— Alan Jackson’s “Angels and Alcohol,” which debuted at #2 on last week’s chart, rises to #1 on this week’s listing on the strength of 18,000 second-week sales. It sold just shy of 46,000 in its inaugural frame.<\/p>\n
Jason Isbell’s “Something More Than Free,” which won last week’s race courtesy its 46,000 sales, slips to #4 on this week’s Top Country Albums chart.
