<\/a>Billboard Magazine released a top One-Hit Wonders list as part of its “Best of the 2000s” feature, and names like Daniel Powter, Terror Squad, MIMS and James Blunt top the pack.<\/p>\n
The list is purely based on (and arranged in order of) comparative chart performance between the artist’s “hit” and follow-up songs. So while a singer like James Blunt might have made a cultural impact with “Goodbye My Lover” (including a memorable appearance during a Christmas episode of “The Office”), it was only his “You’re Beautiful” that did anything on the Billboard singles charts. A similar situation occurs with Fort Minor–“Where’d You Go” was the group’s only chart hit even though “Remember the Name” had a notable run in commercials and as a theme song for the NBA.<\/p>\n
The list also appears to only take into account domestic US market performance.<\/p>\n
