\n=================<\/p>\nUpdate:<\/b> While Billboard reports a lesser first week total than that issued by Hits Daily Double, the outcome is the same: Future’s “DS2” claims the top spot on the weekly album sales chart.<\/p>\n
Per Billboard\/Nielsen’s first official update, “DS2” moved 121,000 pure copies during the July 17-23 tracking week. That easily earns it the #1 spot on Top Album Sales.<\/p>\n
Hits Daily Double’s report credits “DS2” with 132,000 first week sales.<\/p>\n
Seemingly due to issues with the new tracking period, Billboard and Nielsen needed to recalculate–and re-report–sales data in each of the previous two weeks. Given the possibility that a recalculation will again occur, readers should take the 121,000 figure (and all below figures) as tentative. A final number will be available by Tuesday.<\/p>\n
With Track Equivalent Albums (10 single sales = 1 album sale) and Streaming Equivalent Albums (1500 single streams = 1 album sale) included, “DS2” boasts an opening week consumption total of approximately 147,000. That earns it the #1 spot on the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n

\nWith a total more than three times as great as that of its nearest competitor, Future’s “DS2” cruises to victory on the weekly album sales chart.<\/p>\n
According to Hits Daily Double, the album moved approximately 131,724 copies during the July 17-23 tracking week. While Billboard’s final, authoritative number will differ (the new Friday-Thursday tracking week is causing more disparity than was typical of the Monday-Sunday week), the outcome will be the same: “DS2” grabs the top spot on the Top Album Sales chart.<\/p>\n
With Track Equivalent Albums (10 single sales = 1 album sale) and Streaming Equivalent Albums (1500 single streams = 1 album sale) included, “DS2” boasts an opening week consumption total of approximately 153,471 units.<\/p>\n
Other top performers from a pure sales standpoint include Tyrese’s “Black Rose” (~42,359 sales), Alan Jackson’s “Angels and Alcohol” (~42,341), Jason Isbell’s “Something More Than Free” (~41,870) and Tame Impala’s “Currents” (~39,510).<\/p>\n
