Thanks to a dominant opening week total, Meek Mill’s “Dreams Worth More Than Money”<\/strong> won the music industry’s final Monday-Sunday album sales race.<\/p>\n According to Hits Daily Double, Meek Mill’s “Dreams” moved approximately 216,173 copies during the week between June 29 and July 5. No other album posted a weekly sales total even one-fifth as great.<\/p>\n Billboard’s more authoritative data will differ slightly, but it will not change the reality: “Dreams Worth More Than Money” was the tracking week’s #1 album.<\/p>\n As of press time, Hits had only issued pure sales totals for the June 29-July 5 tracking week. Track sales and streaming counts, which inform the Billboard 200, is forthcoming.<\/p>\n The Meek Mill album’s victory comes amid the music industry’s adoption of a global Friday release day. In recognition of that new approach, Billboard will begin tracking sales from Friday to Thursday.<\/p>\n As part of the transition, the opening week “Dreams Worth More Than Money” sales total will count toward two sets of Billboard charts.<\/p>\n This week, Billboard will publish album sales charts accounting for the June 29-July 5 tracking week.
