“Bad Blood,” the latest single connected to Swift’s blockbuster “1989,” now ranks as pop radio’s most played song. If it can retain its lead through Sunday’s chart update — and it surely will — it will become the fourth straight “1989” single to officially claim #1 on Mediabase’s pop airplay listing.<\/p>\n
According to Mediabase, “Bad Blood” received 17,753 pop spins during the period between June 13 and June 19. That gives it the edge over Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again (featuring Charlie Puth),” which had retained #1 on the rolling chart.<\/p>\n
The “Furious 7” track received 17,711 spins within the June 13-19 window.<\/p>\n
Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” (17,692), Jason Derulo’s former #1 “Want to Want Me” (17,198) and Tove Lo’s “Talking Body” (14,602) follow.<\/p>\n
If Swift’s “Bad Blood” indeed claims #1 on Sunday’s official Mediabase pop chart, it will have done so just five weeks after its formal radio launch.<\/p>\n
None of the other “1989” singles, including lead “Shake it Off” and Hot 100 juggernaut “Blank Space,” reached the top of Mediabase’s chart as quickly.<\/p>\n
