For censorship reasons, ABC muted what seemed like half of the audio in Kanye West’s Billboard Music Awards performance.<\/p>\n
One sound it failed to censor, however, was a chorus of boos that emerged when Kendall and Kylie Jenner took the stage to introduce the musician.<\/p>\n
While not enough to truly derail the introduction, the audience’s sour reaction was definitely noticeable to at-home viewers.<\/p>\n
The boos shifted to cheers when Kendall and Kylie formally turned the stage over to West. The negative crowd reaction returned, however, in response to West’s performance.<\/p>\n
The Billboard Music Awards audience was otherwise very gracious and gave the majority of stars — notably including Meghan Trainor — warm reactions.<\/p>\n
