On the heels of news that ABC has picked up its sitcom adaptation of “Uncle Buck” comes news that CBS is ordering drama adaptations of “Rush Hour” and “Limitless” to series.<\/p>\n
It has also picked up “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” and “Code Black” for its 2015-16 schedule.<\/p>\n
The network, which had previously confirmed plans to move forward with “Supergirl,” has thus far ordered five drama pilots to series.<\/p>\n
Series synopses follow:<\/p>\n
Rush Hour<\/strong>:<\/p>\n A stoic, by-the-book Hong Kong police officer is assigned to a case in Los Angeles where he\u2019s forced to work with a cocky African-American LAPD officer who has no interest in a partner.<\/p>\n Cast: Justin Hires, Jon Foo, Aimee Garcia and Wendie Malick.<\/p>\n Limitless:<\/strong><\/p>\n A drama based on the 2011 feature. The series follows Brian Finch as he discovers the power of the mysterious drug NZT, and is coerced into using his newfound drug-enhanced abilities to solve weekly cases for the FBI.<\/p>\n Cast: Jake McDorman, Jennifer Carpenter, Hill Harper, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio<\/p>\n Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders:<\/strong><\/p>\n Focuses on a division of the FBI that helps American citizens who find themselves in danger abroad.<\/p>\n Cast: Gary Sinise, Daniel Henney and Tyler James Williams (Anna Gunn, who appeared in the pilot, is reportedly not continuing on the series)<\/p>\n Code Black:<\/strong><\/p>\n Medical drama set in the busiest and most notorious ER in the nation where the extraordinary staff struggle in the face of a broken system to protect their ideals and the patients who need them the most.<\/p>\n Cast: Marcia Gay Harden, Bonnie Somerville, Raza Jaffrey, Luis Guzman, Melanie Kannokada, Harry M.
