One of country’s four fastest-rising songs is one of three new additions to the Mediabase country radio chart’s Top 40.<\/p>\n
Thomas Rhett’s new “Crash and Burn,” that song, grabs #34 on this week’s edition of the chart. Up nine places on the points-driven chart**, “Crash and Burn” received 1,182 spins and 8.623 million audience impressions during the April 26-May 2 tracking week.<\/p>\n
Its week-over-week spin gain of 406 was the format’s fourth greatest for the week. Only A Thousand Horses’ #5 “Smoke” (+641), Jason Aldean’s #21 “Tonight Looks Good on You” (+515) and Blake Shelton’s #18 “Sangria” (+438) enjoyed bigger lifts.<\/p>\n
While this week marks the song’s first appearance in the Mediabase Top 40, it had already gotten there on the corresponding Billboard Country Airplay chart. #40 on last week’s Billboard chart, “Crash and Burn” has gone as high as #38 on the listing.<\/p>\n
— Also new to this week’s Mediabase Top 40 is Kacey Musgraves’ “Biscuits.” The Grammy winner’s new single vaults six places to a new peak of #39 on the listing. It received 852 spins and 6.957 million audience impressions during the aforementioned tracking week.<\/p>\n
Unlike “Crash and Burn,” the Musgraves song has not yet reached the Top 40 on Billboard Country Airplay. #47 on this past week’s chart, “Biscuits” has gone as high as #41 on the Billboard listing.<\/p>\n
— Austin Webb’s “All Country on You” is the third of the three new Top 40 members. Up four places, “All Country on You” grabs #40 on this week’s Mediabase chart.<\/p>\n
And while it trails the aforementioned “Biscuits” in Mediabase chart points, it actually commanded more weekly plays. Spun 1,010 times between April 26 and May 2, it would have ranked at #37 on a pure airplay chart.<\/p>\n
Its weekly audience impression count of 4.595 million was not, however, one of the week’s 40 greatest.<\/p>\n
Like “Biscuits,” “All Country on You” has yet to enter the Top 40 on the corresponding Billboard Country Airplay chart. It was up to a peak of #46 on this past week’s Billboard listing.<\/p>\n
