Again broadcast concurrently on TV Land and Nick at Nite (but not on Nick Jr.), the third episode of new comedy “Younger” reached a smaller audience than that attracted by last week’s pair of premiere episodes.<\/p>\n
This Tuesday’s performance was not, however, without some positive elements.<\/p>\n
Notably, this week’s episode was the highest-rated of the three in the adults 18-49 demographic.<\/p>\n
Responsible for a 0.21 rating on Nick at Nite and a 0.20 rating on its TV Land home, this week’s “Younger” drew a combined 0.41 adults 18-49 rating. The TV Land, Nick at Nite and Nick Jr. telecasts combined to produce a 0.37 adults 18-49 rating at both 10PM and 10:30PM.<\/p>\n
At 1.094 million, the combined viewership for this week’s concurrent broadcasts was nonetheless down from the 1.366 million total for last week’s 10PM episode and the 1.195 million garnered by the 10:30PM installment.<\/p>\n
This week’s core TV Land telecast did, however, best last week’s two TV Land broadcasts. Tuesday’s TV Land episode drew a 0.20 adults 18-49 rating with 507,000 viewers<\/strong>. Last week’s 10PM episode scored a 0.17 with 504,000 viewers, while the 10:30PM airing was good for a 0.18 with 463,000.<\/p>\n This week’s Nick at Nite broadcast, which notably topped the home TV Land broadcast in both adults 18-49 and total viewership, trailed last week’s Nick at Nite airings in total viewership but bested them in the adults 18-49 demographic. This week’s Nick at Nite airing clocked in at a 0.21 with 587,000 viewers<\/strong>. The Nick at Nite version of last week’s 10PM episode scored a 0.16 rating with 662,000 viewers. The 10:30PM offering posted a 0.16 with 588,000.<\/p>\n “Younger” did not air on Nick Jr. this week. The Nick Jr. airings of last week’s 10PM and 10:30PM episodes drew a 0.04 with 200,000 viewers and a 0.03 with 144,000 viewers, respectively.<\/p>\n — “Younger” is not a blockbuster hit, but the fact that this week’s episode bested last week’s pair of premiere broadcasts in adults 18-49 clearly represents a big positive.<\/p>\n An item worthy of focus is the fact that “Younger” again reached a larger audience on Nick at Nite than it did on its TV Land home. The Nick at Nite airing also delivered stronger marks in adults 18-49 (0.21 vs. 0.20) and adults 18-34 (0.25 vs. 0.20).<\/p>\n While the program will continue to air concurrently on TV Land and Nick at Nite in the short term, it is indeed a TV Land show.
