According to final Nielsen data, it posted an inaugural week sales count of 11,318.<\/p>\n
Numerically modest, the total is not particularly weak in context.<\/p>\n
MisterWives, though buzzworthy among music critics and “in the know” music fans, is not yet an established, high-profile act within the broader music marketplace. And insofar as the alternative-pop crossover act is operating in a niche known for soft sales figures, a total in dramatic excess of 11,318 should not have been considered conceivable, let alone likely.<\/p>\n
The album’s most notable marketplace presence comes courtesy single “Reflections.” Recognizable due to its popularity on Vine, positive feedback from media types, exposure during MTV’s “Faking It” and late 2014 launch at alternative radio, the song has not yet become a legitimate breakthrough hit.<\/p>\n
The alternative radio push failed to take the song past #31 on the format’s airplay chart, and Republic’s promotions team has, despite repeated teases, yet to formally launch the song at pop and hot adult contemporary radio.<\/p>\n
