Update:<\/b> Leading out of “The Voice” (3.9 adults 18-49 rating, 14.06 million viewers), NBC’s “Parks & Recreation” finale drew a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating with 4.15 million viewers.<\/em><\/p>\n

While the performance was not strong by overall television standards, the finale did draw the series’ best viewership average since January 19, 2012.\u00a0 That night’s broadcast attracted an audience of 4.25 million.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

Inevitable given the fact that the broadcast’s early portion was immediately boosted by “The Voice,” the episode endured a considerable ratings bleed from the first to second half hour. It drew a 1.9 rating from 10:00-10:30PM and a 1.4 from 10:30-11PM.<\/em><\/p>\n

The “Parks” finale also drew a 1.6 rating in adults 18-34 and a 1.8 rating in adults 25-54.<\/em><\/p>\n

Among major network programming, “Parks” was its timeslot’s #2 show in adults 18-49, #1 show in adults 18-34, #2 show in adults 25-54 and #3 show in viewers,
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

Opposition came from ABC’s “Forever” (1.0 adults 18-49 rating, 0.7 adults 18-34 rating, 1.4 adults 25-54 rating, 4.66 million viewers) and CBS’ “Person of Interest” (1.7 adults 18-49 rating, 0.8 adults 18-34 rating, 2.5 adults 25-54 rating, 9.63 million viewers).<\/em>

Low-rated throughout its run, NBC’s critically acclaimed “Parks & Recreation” predictably failed to draw a considerable audience for Tuesday’s conclusion.<\/p>\n

The series finale drew a 2.8 overnight household rating. While that represents a season high, it is nonetheless a very low number rendered even lighter by the fact that it aired out of NBC’s “The Voice.”<\/p>\n

“The Voice,” which occupied the 8-10PM portion of NBC’s Tuesday lineup, drew a strong 9.3 overnight household rating. It bested both the Monday season premiere and last year’s corresponding episode in the overnights.<\/p>\n

Natural given the fact that its early portion was immediately boosted by the “Voice” lead-in, the “Parks” finale lost households as it progressed. It posted a 3.2 overnight household rating from 10-10:30PM and then a 2.5 from 10:30-11PM.<\/p>\n
