From a macroscopic perspective, there is little positive to be written about this week’s edition of “12 Monkeys.” The SyFy drama continues to struggle.<\/p>\n
On a microscopic basis, one can, however, find a positive element to the performance. It finally reversed its viewership decline.<\/p>\n
For the first time on record, “12 Monkeys” enjoyed a week-over-week increase in total viewership. This week’s audience total of 686,000 bests the 664,000 drawn by last week’s episode.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, that positive is accompanied by a notable negative: Friday’s episode slipped to a series low in adults 18-49.<\/p>\n
After spending two weeks at a series low 0.23 rating, “12 Monkeys” this week fell to a mere 0.17 in the key young adults demo.<\/p>\n
— Lead-out “Helix” performed similarly this week.
