Update:<\/strong> Per final broadcast data, Thursday’s series finale of “Two and a Half Men” drew a 3.2 adults 18-49 rating with 13.52 million viewers.<\/em><\/p>\n

Easily the most-watched 9PM broadcast, it nonetheless lost a tight race with “Scandal” in adults 18-49.\u00a0 ABC’s drama drew a 3.3 with 9.62 million viewers.<\/em><\/p>\n

Both series found themselves distantly ahead of the other 9PM broadcast TV entries.\u00a0 NBC’s “The Blacklist” drew a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating with 7.71 million viewers, while FOX’s “Backstrom” (0.9 adults 18-49 rating, 3.54 million) and The CW’s “Reign” (0.4 adults 18-49 rating, 1.03 million viewers) were barely on the map.<\/em><\/p>\n

Other ABC programs: “Grey’s Anatomy” (2.5 rating, 8.13 million viewers) and “How to Get Away with Murder” (2.9 rating, 8.86 million)<\/em><\/p>\n

Other CBS programs: “The Big Bang Theory” (4.5 rating, 17.49 million viewers), “The Odd Couple” (3.1 rating, 13.57 million viewers) and “Elementary” (1.5 rating, 8.21 million viewers)<\/em><\/p>\n

Other NBC programs: “The Slap” (0.8 rating, 3.96 million viewers) and “Allegiance” (0.9 rating, 3.32 million viewers)<\/em><\/p>\n

Other FOX programs: “American Idol” (2.1 rating, 8.98 million viewers)<\/em><\/p>\n

Other CW programs: “The Vampire Diaries” (0.7 rating, 1.41 million viewers)<\/em><\/p>\n

While it remains to be seen how the series stack up in adults 18-49 and total viewership, CBS’ “Two and a Half Men” finale was the 9PM timeslot’s clear winner in the overnight household ratings.<\/p>\n

Thursday’s hourlong “Men” farewell drew a respectable 8.6 overnight household rating. Not nearly massive enough to suggest that audiences viewed the episode as a major television event (by comparison, the season nine premiere, which featured Ashton Kutcher’s debut, drew an 18.7 rating), it was enough to represent a season high — and give “Two and a Half Men” the timeslot victory over ABC’s “Scandal” and NBC’s “The Blacklist.”<\/p>\n

“Scandal,” however, deserves credit for holding up in the face of the heightened competition. Thursday’s episode actually enjoyed a 0.1 uptick to a 7.2 overnight household rating.<\/p>\n

“The Blacklist” was not so lucky. It slipped 11% to a series low 5.1 overnight household rating.<\/p>\n
