From a commercial standpoint, Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud (with John Mayer, Herbie Hancock, ?uestlove and Adam Blackstone)” and Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s “FourFiveSeconds” represented the most meaningful performances at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.<\/p>\n
Since early Monday, the two have been in a tight battle for #1 on the iTunes Single Sales chart.<\/p>\n
While “Thinking Out Loud,” which was the hotter single going into the broadcast, first reached number one, the superstar “FourFiveSeconds” collaboration spent some time at the all-genre chart’s peak later that day.<\/p>\n
“Thinking Out Loud” had returned to the top spot by nightfall, but “FourFiveSeconds” is back in charge of the chart as of late Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n
Per real-time trending data, the two songs are each outselling Mark Ronson’s previously dominant “Uptown Funk (featuring Bruno Mars)” by a ratio of about 5:3.<\/p>\n
