Animated film “Up” claimed the weekend box office prize, sending rival family film “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian” into second place on a decline of more than 50%.<\/p>\n

“Up” claimed victory with an estimated $68.2 million; “Museum” followed with $25.5 million. Newcomer “Drag Me to Hell” entered at third with $16.6 million.<\/p>\n

“Terminator: Salvation” and “Star Trek” rounded out the top five with $16.2 million and $12.8 million, respectively. The cumulative gross for “Star Trek” is now comfortably above $200 million.<\/p>\n
