Certified as platinum digital singles on January 29 and January 30, respectively, “Riptide” and “Stolen Dance” boast unit totals in excess of 1 million. A unit is equivalent to either one single purchase or 100 audio or visual streams.<\/p>\n
The tracks were not the only alternative offerings to go platinum in January. The RIAA certified Of Monsters and Men’s “Mountain Sound,” which performed impressively at alternative radio and made a minor dent in the hot adult contemporary format, platinum on January 30.<\/p>\n
