{"id":34488,"date":"2015-02-05T11:41:32","date_gmt":"2015-02-05T15:41:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/headlineplanet.com\/home\/?p=34488"},"modified":"2015-02-05T11:45:50","modified_gmt":"2015-02-05T15:45:50","slug":"official-katy-perry-perform-grace-god-grammys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/headlineplanet.com\/home\/2015\/02\/05\/official-katy-perry-perform-grace-god-grammys\/","title":{"rendered":"Confirmed: Katy Perry to Perform &#8220;By the Grace of God&#8221; at Grammys"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Calling it the &#8220;final&#8221; performance announcement for this weekend&#8217;s Grammy Awards ceremony, the Recording Academy confirmed rumors that Katy Perry will be singing at the show.<\/p>\n<p>According to the release, Perry will sing &#8220;By the Grace of God&#8221; at &#8220;Music&#8217;s Biggest Night.&#8221;  The 57th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony airs at 8PM ET on CBS this Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Perry is up for two awards:  Best Pop Duo\/Group Performance for &#8220;Dark Horse&#8221; and Best Pop Vocal Album for &#8220;Prism.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>While the academy says Perry is the &#8220;final artist&#8221; set for the performance lineup, at least one more name is set to perform on the show.  Common, who is performing his Oscar-nominated &#8220;Glory&#8221; with John Legend, says Beyonce will deliver &#8220;Take My Hand, Precious Lord&#8221; as an introduction to the duet.<\/p>\n<p>Lang Lang, whom CBS says will cover one of the year&#8217;s &#8220;infectious songs,&#8221; says that his performance will be a collaborative one.  It is unclear whether that collaboration will involve a previously confirmed performer (such as Pharrell, whose &#8220;Happy&#8221; was certainly one of the year&#8217;s most infectious songs) or a surprise guest.<\/p>\n<p>Per the Academy, <em>&#8220;Previously announced performers are GRAMMY-winning band AC\/DC; GRAMMY winner and current nominee Beck; GRAMMY winner and current nominee Tony Bennett; GRAMMY winner and current nominee Mary J.
