Signposted by the fact that Sunday’s post-AFC Championship edition of “Scorpion” delivered situationally unremarkable numbers (a 3.2 adults 18-49 rating and 12.29 million viewers), CBS’ freshman drama did not enjoy improved numbers for Monday’s regular airing.<\/p>\n
The latest episode, which aired in the show’s usual Monday at 9PM timeslot, drew a 2.2 with 12.03 million viewers.<\/p>\n
While the series tied for first place (with FOX’s “Gotham” and CBS’ own “2 Broke Girls”) in the demo and ranked as the night’s most-watched program, its showing trailed that of the previous original on January 5.<\/p>\n
That episode drew a 2.4 rating with 12.32 million viewers.<\/p>\n
Obviously, the fall does not change the fact that “Scorpion” had a solid night — or that it is already renewed for season two.
