Update:<\/b> The overnight household ratings painted an inaccurately rosy picture of Monday’s “The Celebrity Apprentice” broadcast.<\/em><\/p>\n

While it rose in the overnights, it declined in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic and total viewership columns.<\/em><\/p>\n

Down 9% from Sunday’s 2.3, Monday’s edition of “The Celebrity Apprentice” drew a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating.<\/em><\/p>\n

The broadcast’s two hours delivered respective ratings of 2.0 and 2.1.\u00a0 Sunday’s broadcast drew a 2.3 in the first hour and a 2.4 in the second.<\/em><\/p>\n

Viewership also fell. Sunday’s broadcast attracted 6.79 million viewers, but Monday’s showing drew only 6.58 million.<\/em><\/p>\n

Given the competition the program faced–including CBS’ “2 Broke Girls” (2.4 adults 18-49 rating), “Mike & Molly” (2.2) and “Scorpion” (2.4), FOX’s “Gotham” (2.5) and “Sleepy Hollow” (1.6) and ABC’s “The Bachelor” (2.0 and 2.3 in the competitive timeslots)–and the fact that it did not benefit from opening night curiosity, the drop is not necessarily surprising or alarming. It is a drop nonetheless.<\/em><\/p>\n

NBC followed “Apprentice” with its low-rated “State of Affairs” (1.0, 4.47 million viewers).<\/em><\/p>\n

\nDespite facing competition from ABC’s “The Bachelor,” CBS’ “2 Broke Girls,” “Mike & Molly” and “Scorpion” and FOX’s “Gotham” and “Sleepy Hollow,” NBC’s reality competition series “The Celebrity Apprentice” held up well in the Monday overnights.<\/p>\n

Monday’s two-hour episode drew a 5.0 overnight household rating, which actually represented a gain over the 4.7 drawn by Sunday’s season premiere.<\/p>\n

And while the 5.0 household mark trailed those posted by the ABC and CBS programs, the young-skewing show likely fared well in the adults 18-49 race.<\/p>\n
